You can build up your black suit/red suit personae, but after you beat the game once, this isn't much of a motivating factor to replay. I beat it pretty quickly. And the storyline is cool too. I know there are 2 levels of play, and I chose easy, but they still load you up with a ton of power-ups that I can't imagine hard being terribly difficult. Not for heavy gaming. I can see the replay value in it, but only if you've got nothing else to do.
A good game to pick up now and again. This game wasn't much of a challenge. Also, it's a pretty short game. But, the gameplay is fun, even though it's short.
The game is great and I got everything on time. I really like shopping on amazon.com
VERY disappointed that a "new game" would come out in the year 2008 and be in 2-d. 1 thumb down. 2-d game play. The left to right only screen action makes me feel like I was playing an old ATARI game.
All in all, if you own a PSP and are a Spidey fan, Web of Shadows is worth a rental and nothing more. If you're craving another open-world Spidey adventure though, you won't find it here. While there is a degree of fun to be had, Web of Shadows does get pretty boring after a while, especially considering that it doesn't take you long to see what all the game has to offer, which the PSP version has little. You play as Spidey, pick up various power-up's, have an occasional team-up with some fellow Marvel heroes, and take down hordes upon hordes of bland baddies and the occasional boss as well. Instead of using the tried & true open world New York City playing style that has been implemented since Spider-Man 2 (and is used on the other versions of Web of Shadows), this PSP version is a 2-D side scroller-ish beat 'em up. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for the PSP plays pretty much like the PS2 version of the game; note the subtitle that reads Amazing Allies Edition. Yeah, it's the 16-bit era of superhero video games all over again, and things haven't changed much either as you'll find here. Still, the game doesn't look or sound bad one bit, and there is a decent amount of power-up's and unlockables to find, plus the game's story is fun and makes good use of Spidey and his supporting cast of allies and villains.
Its cool the fact that you can get 15 Heroes/Villians. but other then that this game was a big disappointment I wish I wouldn't have bought it I will sell it tomorrow
